THE STORY
A CLUTCH CONCEIVED AS A PIECE OF JEWELLERY.
The Clutch Bijou brings together leather craftsmanship, sculpture and the Glam Rock spirit of Charles King.
Its distinctive front band transforms the object into part of the gesture, while the central Angel gives the piece its signature.
THE SCULPTOR
The Angel at the heart of The Clutch Bijou was sculpted by renowned French sculptor Xavier de Fraissinette from an original design provided by Charles Rey.
Using the traditional lost-wax casting process, Xavier de Fraissinette translated the original design into the sculptural piece that became the central jewel of the Clutch. More than 100 hours of precise artisan work were dedicated to its creation.
